Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 January 2026. This policy explains what Mari's Taxes LLC collects through rewards.irs-sol.com, why, and how it is protected.
This reward program is operated by a private company and is not affiliated with the IRS or U.S. government.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Mari's Taxes LLC, 13374 Luna Rd, Victorville, California, US 92392-7240. D‑U‑N‑S® Number 144672007. Our principal website is irs-sol.com and our contact address for privacy matters is info@irs-sol.com. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Mari's Taxes LLC.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to review an application:
- Contact information. The email address you enter on the application form.
- Your filed 2025 Form 1040. The PDF you upload. This document contains highly sensitive information, including your name, address, filing status, income and, where you used direct deposit, bank account details. You may black out your Social Security number before uploading — we do not need it to validate the return, and redacting it does not affect your application.
- Payment details, only after approval. We do not ask for banking information when you apply. If your application is approved, you receive a private, time-limited link where you either instruct us to use the account shown on your submitted return, or enter an account holder name, account number and routing number.
- Technical information. The IP address the submission came from, the date and time, and the size of the uploaded file. Our web server also keeps standard access logs.
- Correspondence. Any message you send us about your application.
2a. Cookies, advertising and measurement
We set a session cookie that is required to complete the application form and to keep administrative sessions signed in. It carries no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
We also use Google Ads conversion tracking on the public pages of this site, supplied by Google LLC. It tells us how many people who arrived from one of our adverts went on to submit an application. To do that, Google receives your IP address, the page address (path only — we strip query strings before sending), your browser and device details, and cookie identifiers Google sets in your browser. We do not send Google your email address, your Form 1040, your banking details or your application reference.
This tag is not loaded on the page where you supply payment details, and it is not loaded anywhere in the administrative area.
Google processes this data as an independent controller for its own advertising purposes; see policies.google.com/privacy. You can prevent it by blocking third-party cookies or scripts in your browser, or by using Google's own opt-out at adssettings.google.com. Blocking it does not affect your application in any way.
We do not use social media pixels, session-recording tools, third-party fonts, or any tracker that follows you across unrelated websites for our own purposes.
3. How we use it
Information submitted through this site is used to validate that the document you uploaded is a genuine Form 1040 filed for tax year 2025, to communicate a determination to you, to work out and pay the reward where one is due, to detect fraudulent or duplicate submissions, and to meet our own legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. We do not use it for any other purpose.
The reward calculator on this site performs arithmetic on a figure you type. That figure is not stored, not logged and not linked to you or to any application.
4. We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or disclose your Form 1040, your email address or your banking details to marketers, data brokers or lead generators, whether or not payment is involved.
The one qualification is the advertising measurement described in section 2a. California law treats some uses of advertising cookies as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use the Google tag for conversion measurement only — to count applications that came from an advert — and not to build remarketing audiences or to target you elsewhere. If that ever changes, this policy will change first and we will publish a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control before doing so.
5. Who we share information with
Access is limited to the smallest group that can do the work:
- Authorised reviewers and officers of Mari's Taxes LLC who need the document to assess an application.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the encrypted data on our behalf under contract.
- A financial institution, where a payment has to be made to you.
- Professional advisers bound by confidentiality, such as our accountants and attorneys.
- Law enforcement, a regulator or a court, where we are legally required to respond, or where disclosure is necessary to investigate suspected fraud.
6. How we protect it
- Uploaded documents are encrypted with AES‑256‑GCM before being written to disk.
- Encryption keys are held outside the website directory, readable only by the application service account.
- Documents are stored outside the public web root. No public URL serves them.
- Your original filename is discarded; each document is saved under a random identifier.
- Account holder name, account number and routing number are individually encrypted and are never written to the database in readable form.
- The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access requires a password, ends automatically after inactivity, and every staff action is written to an audit log recording the reviewer, the time and the IP address.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities of a breach involving personal information as required by applicable law.
7. How long we keep it
Applications and their documents are retained for the period we need them and no longer:
- Uploaded Form 1040 documents: retained while the application is under review and for up to 24 months after a determination, then securely destroyed.
- Banking details: collected only after approval, and deleted once a payment has settled or within 90 days if no payment is made.
- Payout links: only a one-way hash of the link token is stored. It expires automatically and is no longer usable once you have supplied payment details.
- Application records and audit logs: retained for up to seven years to meet tax, accounting and anti-fraud obligations.
- Web server access logs: retained for up to 90 days.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, provide a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. You may withdraw an application at any time before a determination is issued. Email info@irs-sol.com from the address you applied with and quote your application reference.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to request correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for you to opt out of, but you may still exercise every other right. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days.
9. Children
This program is for adults. The site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
10. Fraud warning
We will never ask you, by phone, text or email, for your Social Security number, your online banking username or password, a PIN, a one-time code, a gift card, or a fee to release a reward. Everything we need is collected on this website over HTTPS. Report anything suspicious to info@irs-sol.com.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting applications already under review will be notified by email.
